The tsunami that hit Japan began to deposit debris on the shores of North America in early 2012, but debris has been inundating the coastline for years. Leanna is encouraging people from all over to participate to clean beaches in Pacific County. From residents to visitors, everyone who is willing to help is welcome.
Leanna is serving at Long Beach City Hall through August 15, 2013, and is in city hall Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Even if you are unsure about volunteering, residents and visitors are welcome to drop by city hall and ask questions about the clean up or the tsunami.
For more information about volunteering or to schedule weekend dates in advance, contact Leanna Reuss at 360-642-4482 or email [email protected]. Leanna is also available to speak to civic or non-profit organizations about tsunami debris and how to volunteer.
